The CS SmartMount: Take Your Cavity Slider to the Next Level

We can all agree that cavity sliders are useful for maximizing space efficiency as they slide neatly into the wall, eliminating the need for swing clearance and making them ideal for small rooms or tight spaces.  The reason they aren’t as widely used in interior design is because of the stigma builders have with poor-quality cavity slider hardware.

Builders have been burned by traditional cavity sliders because of issues maintaining, installing, and adjusting cavity slider doors. One of the biggest issues builders have with cavity sliders is having to remove or adjust the door once it's been installed.

Common issues with removing your cavity slider door:

Unwanted damage: In traditional systems, to access the door, you need to remove the head jamb. To do that, you will need to remove the architrave at the top of the door, which can lead to unwanted damage to the wall and trim.

In other installations, an architrave gets fitted over the top of the head jamb. You must have buttons in the head jamb itself to hide the screw holes that secure it; because of this, the only way to get access to the door is to remove both the architrave and the head jamb.

Trouble detaching the carriages: Trying to release the wheels attached to the top of the door can be quite difficult. Many systems require you to remove a clip to get the trolley out, and often, these are difficult to lock back into place and adjust once installed.

Hassles with adjustments: Some cavity sliders include a door mounting system that requires a hanger bolt that is, essentially, a large metal plate installed at the top of the door. This ensures the wheels of the carriage can get as close as possible to the top of the door.

Unfortunately, when using this system, there isn’t any adjustment available for the carriages once they're installed. The only way to adjust the hanger bolt is to take the door out, remove the component, wind the wheels, and fully install it again. You must continue this process until you are happy with the result, which can take a great deal of time.

The Solution = CS SmartMount

The engineers at CS Cavity Sliders have created the CS SmartMount, a revolutionary mounting system that makes installing and removing your door a breeze. There are no levers to pull off, nothing to put into the door, and the wheels simply clip in.

How does the CS SmartMount work?

Using patented magnetic technology, the CS SmartMount System contains a mounting plate and carriage that have been engineered to connect securely when brought together.

What are the benefits of the CS SmartMount System?

The CS SmartMount System includes all of the high-quality features of the original CS Cavity Sliders System with these additional upgrades:

Even easier door installation/removal

The patented magnetic components make installing your door easy; simply align the door with the carriages in the track, and the door will snap into place.

Likewise, for the removal of your door, all it takes is a flick of the wrench, and the door will detach from the carriages.

Achieve a FixedHead Detail with a simple "click"

For FixedHead Detail doors, the CS SmartMount ensures there is no need to damage your wall or architraves when removing your door from the cavity.

The CS SmartMount allows the door to be closer to the track (within 3mm). This means builders can achieve a minimal clearance look whilst still providing access to the door, plus there’s no need to remove the door's head jamb!

The CS SmartMount is a game-changer
