This primary school project required a customised sliding door solution to hang a series of large, heavy sliding doors.Â
CS track and carriage systems for sliding doors are based on the high quality extrusions used in our cavity slider units, making them suitable for dividing large spaces or where a cavity slider isn't an option. In this project, single tracks were installed side by side to enable room for the 60mm thick doors to slide past one another.
A drop-down tower bolt enables the doors to be held in a part-open position when required.
The classrooms also utilised our cavity sliders with CS NewYorker doors. Instead of traditional glass panels, the doors were fitted with a combination of whiteboard and glass. Most of the time the doors between classrooms are kept fully closed and function as a whiteboard, but when required, the cavity sliding door can slide fully back into the wall, creating an opening that links two learning spaces together.
